About Nipper

Boxer / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Free to a good home: Boxer/Pit mix neutered up to date on shots looking for his furrever home. We have been given him to foster until we can find his forever home. He is about 3 years old. He likes to cuddle and sleep under the covers close to you. He gets very attached to his person, and doesn't like to be alone. He will need to be in a home with no small pets or small children. He was abused in the past, so not sure how he would react to his ears and tail being pulled on. He needs his nails cut, he's afraid of the vet so he will have to wear a muzzle. He will need a fenced in yard, and can not be taken on walks because he likes to chase cars and squirrels. He is good with other big dogs, but likes to growl and bark at them when first meeting them. He has lived with a husky and a rottweiler for years. He likes to growl and bark at you when he needs to be let out to use the bathroom. He will growl and bark at you when playing (tug of war) because he's use to playing with other big dogs. Sometimes he is very vocal which he learned from his Husky friend. He has anxiety when he is left alone and he gets sick on car rides. He loves attention and to be loved on. He is potty trained. He is use to being called Nipper, he was given that name as a puppy because he liked to chew on everything ( he grew out of chewing on everything, except his toys) He has lived with cats and puppies before, but he likes to play with them in the same way he would another dog his size. He doesn't try to hurt them but because of his size, he accidently could, and he's ( Scooby-Doo) clumsy so he would. He also sounds scary (growling) when he plays which frightens young children and skittish cats. If left alone he's use to the TV and a light being left on for him. He loves to play with balls, and he will bring it to you over and over again but he won't let you have it. He'd rather you chase him to try and get it, or grab the other end and try to take it from him. Only thing I ask is for a few updates and pictures of him for a few months after he becomes yours. And that he is not left outside, that he lives inside with you most of the time. And you must have experience with larger dogs or pit / boxer breeds. Once he's comfortable in a situation, 90% of the time he's a big goofball
