About Jazz

This sweet girl has been with our neighbors for a couple of months. We recently called animal control on them for beating their other dog. We immediately wanted to get the dogs help. We spent a few hours with this beauty in our home and yard today to get to know her. She is SWEET and LOVING!! Definitely trainable, already house-broken, and ready to play! Our own pitbull - 8yo male - was great with her and we trust his judgment highly. We also have a 2yo child who likes her but was stressed by her immense energy. She knocked the child over a few times just from being excited with 'zoomies.' We have decided to try to rehome her ourselves because the neighbor couldn't care less. She needs a home with energetic adult(s) and, if you have children, they should be old enough to handle the command of a dog. Her challenges are being on a leash and jumping on people, counters, etc. Walking from the neighbors house to ours she was jumpy, pulled, and intolerant of the leash. After the few hours of engaging play with our family she walked back on the leash very well. Exercise and practice will serve her and you well. Having gone thru AKC training with our other dog, she did not overreact or react negatively to the following tests: loud sudden noise, sweeping with a broom, using a full size shovel to scoop poop, and dropping heavy objects. Very good girl, aims to please you. She simply needs to be loved and trained / taught how to please you.
