About Tiny

Tiny is a 2 year old, full blooded Great Pyrenees. We are open to rescues pulling Tiny as he waits at-risk in an over-crowded shelter waiting for a home. Tiny is a very special dog that has not worked out in a traditional 'house dog' kind of way which is what we typically look for in adopters. He prefers to come and go. He doesn't always want to be inside, but he also doesn't always prefer to be outside. When outside, he watches over the property and strolls around safely in a fenced area. He barks to alert you to danger and greets visitors. Tiny does best with people he has already met and prefers women typically over men. We are open to some ideas for Tiny. He's gotten himself into a bit of trouble and we want to be transparent about this. Tiny can be very bratty and Tiny's theme is 'I do what I want.' He can be very stubborn and when his humans have tried to MAKE him do something, like come inside, he has showed them who is boss and when pushed, he has taken a snap at people which is essentially why his original homes have not worked out. At that time, he was trying to be made a 100% 'house dog.' Tiny really wants to be about a 40% house dog. He is currently back at a crowded kennel waiting for some type of home that will fit his needs and understand his personality. Tiny is very good with other dogs and gentle with cats. He is good with people (until he's forced to do something he does not want to do). We would recommend older children or no children. He is very gentle taking treats. Tiny would most love to be in a physically fenced yard in a farm type of environment where he can be your best buddy, be allowed in the house when he wants to, or have a barn to come and go from.... or a similar set up. Tiny has a lot of good qualities and really only a stubborn streak that can be intimidating if pushed too far. Tiny is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
