About BUDDY

***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Shoshone, ID Meet 3 year old, dog-friendly BUDDY! This big, friendly lug is a dreamboat! He loves his people and knows basic obedience commands. 'BUDDY is very much a gentleman in every sense with excellent house manners. He is pretty much a velcro boy. He follows me everywhere I go, and over the last 2 days, he is showing more affection toward us. Outside is just for going potty or hanging with his people. No accidents yet and he asks to go out, when necessary. BUDDY is such a good boy. Very chill overall and has been good with female dogs in the home. Our Frenchy has had a few of her usual snippy moments, but BUDDY had no reaction to her...He just walked away. Our foster English mastiff foster, ZOEY, can be playful but is generally pretty lazy and laid back, so the two of them seem to be a good match. They have a very pleasant and calm interaction when together both inside and in the yard. See also video of them 'wrestling together' in the house. We are using an XXL crate for him at night in the living room and to keep him separated when the girls are out together. He sleeps all night. BUDDY was given a bath with no issues. He was a little reluctant to get in the tub, but was no problem once in. He seemed to enjoy the body massage. He's responsive on lead. BUDDY has no interest in plush toys, but does enjoy chew toys. He has not shown any guarding issues with dogs and chew toys. BUDDY quickly figured out where we kept the dog food and noticed a tendency to guard that area. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about him. BUDDY has passed his initial cat test, but because he has shown too much interest in the resident cats, we think that a home without a cat is best for BUDDY. Mellow dogs in the home should be OK. BUDDY just doesn't seem interested in bouncy, horse play...He just wants to chill and get love.
