About Lucy

Lucy is a 6 year old female miniature poodle who weighs approximately 12 pounds. She spent most of her life in a commercial breeding facility but has spent the last 7 months with the kind family who saved her from a life of breeding. Unfortunately Lucy was intimidated by the males in the household and was surrendered to our rescue in order for us to find her the perfect home. She is timid at first but will allow pets once she realizes you won't hurt her. She loves snuggles and pets from her foster moms and gets along great with the dogs in her foster home. Her previous home stated she wasn't house trained, but her foster mom reports that she hasn't had any accidents in their home and potties outside every time she is taken out. Lucy loves to run really fast in the fenced in back yard and must go to a home with a FENCED YARD. Her ideal family would be a FEMALE ONLY home with a calm, patient lady or ladies who are willing to allow her to progress toward confidence at her own pace. With time and lots of love and patience, Lucy will blossom into the happy, self-assured little girl she was meant to be. Lucy is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. We do not ship dogs. If the potential adopter is not within the Lincoln, NE area all family members (two and four legged) must come to Lincoln, NE for the sleepover portion of the adoption process. After a successful sleepover, the adoption can proceed.
