At nine-months-old, and fifty-three-pounds, Jewel deeply attaches and is protective of her home and her people, so she barks at strangers, and people that come to the door. Jewel otherwise is quiet and well-mannered in the house and yard. Beautiful Jewel is learning leash walking, she can pass other dogs on the street and is well mannered. It would be best if Jewel was an only dog. Jewel wants nothing more than attention and affection from her people, and someone who is home all day or works from home would be ideal for Jewel. Being in a crate makes Jewel anxious when she's left alone. Jewel wants to be among her people, loves their companionship, and will stay close by. Jewel is not a 'floor dog,' her preference is to share the couch with you. She does not know how to play with toys yet but occupies herself in her foster's fenced yard chasing rabbits. So not cats! We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible. See video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtS4RhPXirI
