Meet Veronica! PAWS was contacted by a Good Samaritan who kept seeing this eensy 1.5 lb 7/8 wk old tuxedo kitten outside their home near a train station. We assisted with trapping and vetting. She was emaciated, dehydrated, flea infested, with a scratched cornea & eye infection. The Samaritan has been caring for her, but she MUST get a new placement due to a family emergency. We tried for 2 weeks to trap mom/any siblings-only caught some pretty cute baby raccoons. The vet thinks mom/siblings met an ill fate prior to weaning-she's now on water. Veronica is THRIVING in foster care! She LOVES to be held and snuggle and is a purring MACHINE! In 12 days she's DOUBLED her body weight up to 3lbs...AND she's litter box trained already! Vet says her eye is going to be fine! She's learning how to play with toys, but feels safe and happy just cuddling with humans. She is fully vetted, dewormed, and UTD on flea/tick preventative, and will be chipped/shots in 2 weeks and spayed once she's older. She also comes with all the supplies!
