Romero appears to be a Carolina dog in both appearances and temperament. They're a very unique breed. He does have a prey drive, so he cannot be around very small animals. He was found roaming the woods in poor condition but has been nursed back to health. He does not do well with cats, but does well with other dogs as long as proper introductions are done, if they're rushed he is fearful. He walks on a leash with minimal pulling, is housebroken, and knows basic commands. He does well with my children and retreats to his crate when he has had enough of play time. He is heartworm negative. Is due for vaccines. He is a joy to be around, him being rehomed is no fault of his own, our home is just a poor fit for his breed of dog. We have a farm that over-stimulates him and he does not cohabitation with cats or poultry, both of which we have. I would prefer his new home to have some knowledge of his breed, or be an experienced dog owner. I hope for his new home to be his forever home, so feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/carolina-dog#/slide/1 A link with a little info on the breed.
