About Maggie

Adoption Fee: $10
Lab mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

SINGLE, MATURE, FEMALE SEEKS LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP! Meet Maggie. She's a blonde Lab-Retriever mix around 7 years (according to the Veterinarian). She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and monthly maintenance medication. She has some mild joint stiffness after heavy exercise otherwise she has been healthy. She grooms with no issues and is cooperative at the groomers and veterinarian's office. Maggie was raised by an elderly couple who had to give her up due to health issues. She came to our family to avoid the shelter while we started considering options for a permanent family for Maggie. Her age is estimated to be around 7ish years old. Her activity level is pretty low, mostly sleeping during the day. She is an extremely loyal dog, typically bonding with a male figure (at least according to our experience.) She loves going on walks, going for rides, getting treats and receiving belly rubs. She is still somewhat playful, enjoying the occasional chew toy and rolling around in the grass on a sunny day. She gets along with other dogs. She will chase cats but has never been aggressive to our cats. She is generally good with people but will bark to alert. We have noticed Maggie tends to startle easily and may have some visual deficits in low lighting. She is house trained but needs to be crated at night to prevent wandering and mischief, including an occasional accident. If you are looking for a dog that is house trained, loves to travel, low-maintenance and a loyal companion, then you have found your girl!
