About Oslo

Oslo is a 10 year old 70lb Chow Chow mix who was surrendered to the shelter because his old owner went into a nursing home and could not care for him any longer. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep him because he is not good with cats. We took him to a groomer who said he needed to be shaved due to his coat and skin being in poor shape but he will have a beautiful full coat once it grows back. He is housebroken, does well having free roam of the house, and reportedly does not like being crated. He loves to lounge wherever he can and loves to cuddle up when given the opportunity. He can be timid at first but warms up quickly. He is not food-centric and prefers to graze on his food throughout the day. He does well with our medium-sized dog but we are unsure how he would do with small dogs. He would be a great companion for a single person or a couple without children. He loves car rides and is overall a very mellow dog who is looking for his forever home.
