THIS STORY WILL BREAK YOUR HEART MOLLY DESERVES TO KNOW WHAT A GOOD LIFE IS LIKE IS THEIR ANY HERO OUT THERE WHO WILL GIVE THIS GIRL THE HAPPY ENDING ALMOST A YEAR IN A CAGE AFTER THE HORRIBLE LIFE SHES HAD AND ALL HER BABIES TAKEN FROM HER FOR A HORRIFIC ACT 364 days is long enough! Please read to end; she is worth it! Molly, a senior dog, came to Carteret County Humane Society in Oct 2021 as a cruelty case with 20 other dogs. 4 were euthanized for medical reasons and the others are in foster ( see picture) or have been adopted. She is the only one still at the shelter. She was petrified when she got there and would retreat to her kennel and only come out for people she knows. I took her out once and all she wanted was to go back to her kennel; her safe place. She has opened up to a few staff/volunteers. Molly really needs a foster or adopter who will have the patience and time it will take to get her to trust you. For 7 years, she trusted the only man she had ever known and he chained her with a logging chain to a wooden platform with a barrel for shelter. Her only purpose was to breed puppies that would be used for fighting. No affection, no toys, never being able to run and play. So you can see why she doesn't trust easily. When you earn her trust, she is the sweetest and loving girl! Don't let her spend her whole life never knowing what it is like not to have a loving home- a warm bed, belly rubs, and a person of her own. Please share her! She needs an adopter!
