About Artemis

Artemis is a very sweet, 2 year old, mixed breed dog with fantastic ears. She obviously passed this trait to her babies (also available for adoption.). Artemis is likely a pit/shepherd mix and is very medium in size. She is crate trained and house trained. She gets along very well with other dogs. Artemis just needs to be fed separately in her own crate at feeding times and she is perfectly happy and overall an easy dog! Like many dogs that come out of similar situations, Artemis and her previous canine companions often had food shortages in their home and would fight over food since there was little ability to separate so many dogs in a small space. Artemis has no issues with bones or toys and is doing great in her foster home adjusting to new schedules and experiences. Artemis has not had any experience with cats or small children. We believe she may do fine with felines, but we would want to do a cautious trial period. We believe older children would be best. Artemis would love to sleep in her person's bed, likes to lounge on pet beds or nap on the couch in her spare time. She is quiet, but does bark if someone comes to the door. Artemis rides well in the car and has been going to work with her foster mom during the day. She is very quiet and nicely meets strangers. She does well on leash although she has little experience. Artemis is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175.
