About Leo

Leo is a sweet boy who loves people and playing. He is about a year and a half old and is current on his shots and has been neutered. He is about 100 lbs and is more on the dominant side. He has been a wonderful addition to the family and it breaks all of our hearts to have to rehome him. He he potty trained, crate trained, knows sit, lay down, shake, stay (to a certain extent, he shouldn't be off leash in public as his curiosity will get the best of him), he knows to wait for his food, and does generally well on a walking harness provided he is getting at least one, but preferably two walks per day. He LOVES children and really enjoys giving my 9 year old son and all his buddies kisses. He is ok at fetch, but sometimes is more interested in playing chase. He is still a puppy, so he sometimes has a sporadic puppy moment of getting into trouble, like taking hand towels outside. He does really well with my female dog and really enjoys playing with her, she is 65 lbs and they do well together. Now for the reason we have to rehome Leo, we have an older male dog who is 11. Our older dog is very healthy and will most likely live another 2+ years. When Leo turned one he started getting into fights with the older male. We have had to keep them separated the past 5 months and have tried to sort out the aggression between the two of them with no luck. Unfortunately with a child in the home, having two fighting dogs just isn't safe for the long term. Leo has so much love to give, but just really can't be with another male dog.
