LOCATION: Temple, OK DOB: 9/10/2017 Essie Girl-isn't that the sweetest name EVER?? This little lady is looking for a home that will love and snuggle with her. She is super smart and learning more and more everyday. If you are looking for a Velcro Dane, Essie is your gal. Her foster mom describes her as 'the sweetest baby imaginable' and 'a light in a storm.' Essie has not had the easiest life. She has been failed time and time again by humans. She survived abuse, rehoming and then abandonment. And yet, miraculously, she still is willing to give people a second chance. She only wants to please and protect her family. This girl is so silly. She gets excited and does a 'happy dance' and can gallop the yard with legs that extend forever. And she loves to play dress up with her human siblings!!! And best of all, she loves to be tucked in at night. Oh my goodness!! As much as she loves being silly, she also can be just as lazy, enjoying a good snooze on the porch soaking up the warm sunlight or curling up on a blanket next to a roasty fireplace. Doesn't that sound lovely? Her foster mom says at night Miss Essie likes to sleep in front of his human siblings' bedrooms or at the side of her pawrents' bed. Leash and harness training is going well at her foster home. She's not too keen on jumping into a car, but with a ramp she walks in just fine. And if you want her to be your best friend, take this girl on a date to the coffee shop for a puppuccino or the chicken drive thru for a little treat. At home, her favorite food is pork and salmon. Such refined taste! She does fine with cats and small dogs and she enjoys snuggling with little humans. And she recently has discovered how fun dog toys can be! But plan to take her on another date to the doggie supply store cuz those toys don't last very long!!! Essie deserves better than what her humans have given her.
