About Meeka

Meeka is a one year old Staffordshire terrier mix she's currently in a New England foster home and ready to meet her forever family. She has been fixed and is up-to-date on shots. Update from her foster family��%BD��%BD%BC��%BD��%BD%BC: * Meeka is very friendly towards kids, she's currently being fostered in a home with 6 children ranging from ages 5-13 * Meeka is also very friendly to cats * Meeka is a little skittish so loud noises may spook her or fast movements * She LOVES the water * it may take her a few days to settle into her new home but once she's settled she is such a couch potato * Meeka is also very good with other dogs she plays with my two dogs constantly * She knows sit but does need a lot of basic obedience training. Working with her does require some patience * Her leash manners are pretty good she doesn't pull to much but I find luring her with a treat into a heel works very well and if the family keeps up with this then eventually she will have a basic heel * Meeka has some fear/anxiety towards loud cars, motorcycles, and dirt bikes. She is also weary of vacuums. * She does love chews so any type of bone or chew will keep her occupied for quite awhile. * She has gained a little weight but still needs to gain a few more pounds. Some bully breeds may have a harder time keeping weight on. I recommend talking to a vet as sometimes it hard to notice or keep the balance between muscle and fat on bully breeds * Keep in mind: Pitties or any bully breeds do not have a lot of hair, I found that she enjoys a jacket on colder days. For my own dogs I use booties on very cold or very hot days, which is optional but not a lot of people know dog boots exist so I like to recommend them. * Most of all: Meeka is such a sweet soul and will make an amazing companion, she is such a joy to have around, it will definitely be hard giving her up but I know she's gonna go to an amazing home.
