About Ghost Holmes

Hi, Ghost is 75% cattle dog, nearly two, neutered, and otherwise healthy, but from a young age he has had behavioral problems that have finally led me to rehoming. ��%BD%A0He has no history of abuse as far as I know- I adopted him when he was about four months old- but he is extremely reactive to cars and people who enter our home, and shows what I think is fear-based aggression. ��%BD%A0In the context of playing at a park or field he is fine with anyone, but as soon as that context changes, he gets aggressive, and I do not trust him off-leash around strangers. Also, he snaps at/scuffles with dogs that interrupt while we play fetch at the dog park, so that is no longer an option for me to exercise him. ��%BD%A0He has had dog friends as a puppy, but I am not willing to take any chances with someone else's dog. I have tried professional training and behavioral veterinarians to no avail, and since I cannot move into an apartment with new people or exercise him consistently at a local park, then I don't feel I can keep him, or that he would have a fulfilling life with me. ��%BD%A0He is intelligent and loyal, and cuddly with the people he trusts. ��%BD%A0Please let me know if you are interest in helping/learning more about Ghost or know someone who is! -Christian Holmes
