About Bruin - URGENT

URGENT ADOPTION! Meet Bruin! He is a 3-year-old male mixed breed, mostly German Shepherd with a pinch of Lab for good measure. He lives at the Manchester Animal Shelter in Manchester NH. Lots of volunteers spend time with him so we have first-hand knowledge of his attributes and temperament. For starters, Bruin is a soulmate on four legs. There's no doubt he'd be a perfect match for that perfect someone looking for a companion that doesn't talk back or demand things. He would love to be adopted by a single person who lives alone, or with a resident dog. Bruin is a very sweet and playful boy. He loves playing fetch, playing in the water, and is reportedly an excellent cuddle monster. Because of the upheaval in his life, he would do best in a home with only one adult. He seems to be more comfortable with women, but does well with men he has slowly gotten to know. Once he trusts you, he's all in. On the other paw, he is doing great with the other shelter dogs and became playmates with a male lab mix. We do not know if Bruin was ever exposed to kids or cats, so he shouldn't live with either. Bruin has one challenge. He gets overwhelmed when there is more than one person with him. Even though it takes him time to feel assured, he does let his personality out once comfortable! He's got a great personality that shines, so it's worth the wait. He does have a bite history but in every incident he was among multiple people trying to engage him all at once. According to his previous foster mom, he is muzzle trained, but he's had no need for muzzling with shelter caregivers. This top dog needs an extra-special, dog-experienced, and understanding owner.
