About Athena

Courtesy post Meet gorgeous, sweetheart Athena! Athena is an almost 2-year-old, 77 lb Dogo. She's a darling and very affectionate gal who wants nothing more than to be your best friend. She is eager to please and very smart. Athena can be shy at first, but once she warms up and trusts you, she's the sweetest soul. She is a calm girl who loves belly rubs and will likely try to curl up next to you on the couch or in your lap while you watch your favorite show-her favorite place is next to you, wherever you are. She does very well in the car and loves her morning rides to Starbucks. A pupaccino may be in order every now and then, to let her know she's a very good girl! Athena enjoys taking her daily strolls through the neighborhood. She will take her time to sniff the flowers and really relish the moment. She can be easily distracted by other dogs walking by, but will respond well to positive redirection. She is currently being fostered with a male pitbull and they walk well together on a leash. As beautifully white as her fur coat is, she does have some skin allergies. She would benefit from a good soothing bath from time to time with her favorite shampoo. Every gal needs a good skincare routine! Athena's ideal home would be to be the only dog in the house to soak up all the attention and love. However, with proper introduction, it is possible for her to live with another dog. She has lived with dogs, cats and bunnies in the past! She doesn't need a fenced yard. As long as she gets two good walks a day and some play time, her exercise needs will be met. Athena is fully vaccinated and spayed. Her adoption fee is $375.
