About Duke

Tall, dark, and handsome! Duke is a 2 year old, 50#, Shepherd/Lab/Chow mix(best guess) with a gorgeous, soft, golden coat with brown highlights. Playful and affectionate he has never met a stranger. He loves people, is great with kids and dog friendly. Duke is currently living in a foster home that includes adults, resident dogs, and grandkids that visit often. He loves to run around the yard and play with his people or another furry friend. Water is one of his favorite things whether it be a pool or the garden hose. Looking for a co-pilot? Duke rides really well in the car, is calm during the ride. He enjoys looking out the window at everything going on. Just is an all around great dog. He is a calm cuddle buddy when he needs to be, but has the energy to run around and play. He's just so sweet and loving, he deserves to be spoiled in a furever home. He's extremely smart, treat motivated, and would like to learn new tricks to show off, so he can get more treats! He can't wait to find his forever person(s) and never leave their side. He has so much love to give and can't wait to shower someone with it! All Duke asks for is love, affection, food, treats, and toys, in return he'll show you how loyal and loving he is. He truly is a special dog.... While in our care Duke has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heartworm tested, neutered and microchipped. He is house and crate trained. If you rent your home, we require a letter from the landlord submitted with your application granting permission for a pet. A secured fenced yard is preferred and for many of our dogs is required.
