About Lucy

Lucy was found Roaming in a neighborhood and taken home by the finder. She walked the neighborhood looking for the owner as well as posted all over Facebook group pages and no one came forward. Lucy was not chipped and so after two months of the finder looking for the home and dealing with her jumping on her toddler, she reached out to us to take. We just took Lucy in on 10/2/22. According to our vet, Lucy needs ACL surgery on her back right leg; however, she gets along just great and would be ok in a home with no stairs and a calm environment where she's not running and jumping all the time to cause ACL issues. She loves to play but due to the potential strain on her leg, a home with a calmer dog and no rowdy puppies would be best. We require a breed knowledgeable home and we also require an approved adopter to pick up as we do have an adoption process which consists of reference checks etc. If you are interested please message for more pictures and video. As a rescue, we cannot afford her ACL surgery at the moment and since it isn't bothering her we are looking for the right home that can maintain her as is or obtain surgery if needed in the future.
