About Buddy

Buddy was rescued by us back in May of 2021 from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. They told us he was a stray. Buddy is a high energy dog that needs more exercise than 2 people in their early 70's can give him. Although we have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room for him to run he rarely does. On 10-06-2021 we were attacked while out walking by 2 pitbulls being walked by someone who couldn't control them. Buddy sustained superficial injuries and is healed physically from that but he is very skittish and fearful around strange dogs. He gets along with his housemate Beagle okay. Another issue is he will not let anyone trim his nails. When you touch his feet to do it he becomes aggressive and growls menacingly. As such we must take him to the vet to have him put to sleep for this procedure. Being on fixed income this is becoming a hardship. Buddy loves everybody he comes in contacts with especially women. He's just becoming more than we can handle. He weighs 50 lbs. at this time and is in great health.
