About Searcy

Silky Terrier
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Searcy is a 11yr old 14 pound Silky boy who is being fostered near Sheboygan, WI. Searcy needs a home with a fenced in yard, no children and no other pets. Out of State Applicants will be considered if it is a perfect fit for Searcy 9/28/22 Update: Searcy is still looking for his Forever Home. He is the sweetest boy and loves everyone he meets! When we are out on a walk he stops to visit with everyone he sees. Searcy still cannot live with any other animals in the house, but he is friendly with other nice dogs out on his walks. He also is good with all the children in the neighborhood. Searcy would do fine with children 8 years and older, who know how to treat dogs and have lived with a dog before. Please read all Searcy's previous bios to understand him and his needs fully. 7/29/22 Update: Searcy is still waiting for his Forever Home. He absolutely loves his walks! He needs one walk after he eats is the morning (he eats around 5:00 am) and then one after he eats dinner (he eats around 5:00 pm). He is a very nice walker. Searcy may be 11.5 years old, but he acts more like a 7 year old dog! Searcy can be left alone for long periods of time. He just lays down and relaxes while his person/people are gone. Weve already left him for 10 hours without any issues. Please read Searcys previous bios to get the full scoop on him. If this sweet boy sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out an application for him. 5/27/22 Update: Searcy here! Im still looking for my Furever Home, so if youre out there Please fill out an application for me. My eating times have become more regular, which is a good thing. I now eat breakfast at 5:00 - 5:15am and supper at 5:00pm. I still like my 1/8 cup of food around 2:00pm just to hold me over. I still need to walk twice a day, usually at around 7:00am and again after eating supper. I will let you know when I need to go by staring at you that seems to be my signal for eating also. I forgot to mention, I do not like riding in the car. Please read my previous bios, to get all the information, to decide if I would be a good fit for your lifestyle. Searcy is a healthy, sweet, smart and playful guy who is up to date on all vet care and is ready for adoption. He really enjoys the outdoors and loves to run and play fetch. Searcy walks well on a leash and gets excited to go for walks. He is not a fan of car travel and can get a bit anxious but does not get car sick. Searcy is house trained and will go to the door to let you know he is ready to go. He loves to spend quality time with his person and hang out on the couch watching TV or doing whatever as long as he is by your side. He enjoys sleeping at night by his person but will also sleep on the couch. He really isn't to keen on a dog bed. Searcy wants to be the center of your attention and he does not get along well with other dogs or cats. If your looking for an only dog who has lots of love to give then Searcy is your guy! Initial Bio 12/26/21: Searcy Just came into rescue. So far we have observed that is is super smart, house trained and likes to play. He is not fond of car rides, other dogs or cats. Searcy's ideal home would be one where he is the center of attention someone who is home most or all of the time. He loves outside and likes to go for walks. He is a beautiful yorkie with chocolate/hazel eyes. Searcy was given up because his owners had a baby and Searcy didn't like being the center of attention anymore. For this reason he also can not go to a home with Children under 12. If your are interested in this beautiful boy please email foster mom or fill out an application
