About Zoey

Zoey is one of the smartest dogs I've ever met. She is highly trained and obedient. We are rehoming her mainly to give her a place where she can better thrive. We bought her from a breeder who brought her up well and did not neglect her. We have poured tons of love and energy into Zoey and she is a super sweet and loving dog about 80% of the time. Zoey has possessive aggression issues, however we were able to root out her food aggression. We worked with a dog behavior specialist recommended by our vet for several months. He rated her as a 2.5 out of 10 on the aggression scale. Zoey has bit me and my husband before but has not broke the skin and has amazing bite control. We are rehoming her with the support of her behavior specialist who agrees with us that she can be a GREAT dog to someone (preferably an individual) who lives somewhere with more space for her to run and have a purpose/job. We live in the city which, in my opinion, limits Zoey from thriving in the environment her temperament requires (a large property or farm). Zoey would thrive with a single owner, although she loves both of us, she has imprinted on me strongly and defends me (unnecessarily) from my husband and is more aggressive towards him. I would not recommend Zoey to be in a home with children simply because I don't know how she would be with them. Message me for more pictures of her and any questions. She is 25 pounds and healthy.
