About Koa

American Staffordshire Terrier / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Koa! He's an 8-month-old male Shepard/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He came to us as a re-home. His previous family didn't socialize with him and never took him outside. They kept him muzzled all day so he wouldn't get into the trash. He never showed any signs of mischief at his foster homes - he was very well-behaved. He was initially timid and afraid to go outside but his foster worked on that a bit and has gotten better. He wants to be with people and he is very affectionate. We suggest him being an only dog or he can go with another dog if there is strong dog experience and a proper intro. He was fine at his last foster and their 2 dogs but at his initial foster, one of the dogs went after him and injured his leg and we had to get him surgery. He will make a full recovery but this is the reason we prefer him as an only dog. He was uninterested in the last foster's dogs but he likes his human and we believe he may prefer being an only dog. He would do well with someone who is willing to do a minimum of basic training to grow his confidence and get him more comfortable. Koa has great potential and we would love him to finally find a home where he can be happy and live a happy doggy life. If you want to meet Koa and experience his sweet disposition, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on all our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez. If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short or long-term doggie foster families. We much appreciate the help and time of our fosters. You provide all the love, comfort, and safety of a home, and we supply you with everything else you may need, dog food, dog bed, toys, medical attention (if required), etc. If you are interested, please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their fur-ever home and complete the foster application.
