About Jake

Jake was abandoned and found when he was young. He has been in foster care for almost 3 years. He had his eyes removed. Being blind is not a hindrance for Jake, and you would almost not know he is blind once he gets an environment mapped out. He is protective, but not aggressive. Due to his high energy and blindness, it is preferred he go to a forever home with no kids, or at least kids who are older teenagers. Jake does not do well with young children and has bit a young kid before for unknown reasons. Other than that, he does so great with knowing how to use a 'soft bite' while playing. Best for single dog home, or needs a very tolerant second dog, because he doesn't pick up on dog body language and may be too much for some dogs. He's been living with a GSD and loves him, but the GSD is VERY tolerant of Jake. Jake has his few quirks, but overall he is such a great and loving dog. Jake is Crate trained. He has a lot of love to give and we want to see him go to a good home.
