About Hoss

American Bulldog / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Disabled woman owns this boy, Hoss. He's 2 and a half, birthday 3/12/20. He's developed issues since she moved into an elderly/disabled apt complex. The obvious thing is he needs much more outside time & room to run. The owners son has stayed frequently on the couch, and unfortunately he treats his mother terribly and because Hoss has grown upset at his mother getting yelled at, he has become very protective of owner and the owner has concern. Hoss is a huge baby. A teddy bear towards his owner. He loves short car trips, and big toys. He has enjoyed swimming but owner could mot take him this year. Owner plays ball with Hoss frequently, about 3 days a week, and he absolute loves chasing & catching the ball! He's very strong and difficult for the owner to walk as she often suffers daily muscle spasms in her back. He's very well potty trained. He appreciated Canine Carry Outs and will sit, lay down, and Give Me 5. Hoss is a lover and needs someone to be able to respond in kind. But he also needs someone able to spend quality time with him, (he suffers greatly from separation anxiety and would need crating or a fenced yard for when you run errands) He also would benefit from someone with a loving hand, but firm leadership as well. He does want to please. The situation is becoming very concerning for the owner as the son comes often. She wants a Rescue Only.
