About Penelope

Penelope came into the shelter on August 30, 2022. She did get a nice break from the shelter in a short term foster home. Here's what her foster mom had to say about her: 'Penelope is the sweetest girl. She loves to cuddle both with the kids and our other dog. She's great on a leash, can sit and stay on command, and is learning other tricks. She will do really well in a house with kids who can give her all the love. While she's happy to play with other dogs when engaged, she's just as happy with some extra nap time. She's so easygoing and one of the calmest dogs I've ever met.' Penelope has lived well in foster care with children, other dogs, and cats. It's also been said that 'Penelope has incredibly silky fur and is the greatest cuddle buddy ever...She is more than just a dog. In foster, we used her for multiple purposes. She is a great armrest while watching a show. She is an excellent pillow and nice foot warmer. She is completely housetrained.' Penelope is a 2 and a half year old Lab mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 8/30/22. She weighs 68 lbs.
