My name is June, but my foster family calls me Junie B. My foster sister is 7 years old and she loves to read me stories about a little girl named Junie B. Jones. I really don't know much about the stories, but I like when she reads to me. I thought you should know that the B in my name doesn't stand for Beatrice! My foster family keeps telling me I am beautiful so I am certain that is what that B stands for. My mom says I have a beautiful short coat of brown, white, and black. I also have the most beautiful eyes, long tail with a white tip, and big feet! Anyway, I am a young boxer mix who was lucky enough to make it on the transport van at the last minute. I am loving this beautiful state of Wisconsin. I was shy at first and a little bit afraid to get out of the kennel, but I am glad I did. I currently live in my foster home with my mom and sister, but that's not all. I also get to play with 3 furry foster siblings and a couple of cats! The cats are interesting to me, but I really don't bother them. I do like it when they decide to visit though. The resident dogs in my house are various sizes and I do great with all of them. I am even gentle with the puppy. Don't tell anyone, but I think that puppy might be my favorite. I enjoy snuggling on the couch, running around outside, and going for walks! Speaking of walks, my foster mom says I do pretty well when walking on a leash. She also says I am great at sitting when asked. I am still young so I am working on staying and not jumping up on people. I accept redirection when I do something I shouldn't-usually by sitting at your feet and staring into your eyes. I am a fairly quiet dog, or so my family thinks. They haven't heard me bark more than a handful of times. I have howled quietly on occasion, but that happened when I thought it was time to wake up. I am beginning to kennel for a treat and once I am in the crate I am quiet. I keep my crate dry and I haven't had any accidents in the house. My foster mom lets me out regularly when she is home from work, but has heard me whine when I really need to go. I am a polite eater, but benefit from a slow feeder bowl as I tend to eat really fast. I also enjoy belly rubs, chewing on bones, treats, and playing with toys'|lots of toys! My mom says I am the perfect dog for anyone. I would do great in any setting as long as you promise to continue to teach me manners, play with me, and snuggle at the end of the day.
