About Dia

Oh Dia had one heck of a first day in all the wrong ways. This poor dog was terrified from the moment we approached. The world is a big scary place and she didn't want to leave her kennel. Unfortunately after barely getting outside, another dog got loose and rushed her. We had to pull Dia around to protect her. No one got hurt or even nibbled but it was surely traumatic for Dia. She wouldn't even look at us once we got in the lot where she could be off leash. Eventually Dia forgave us and creeped towards us for treats. She's young and hungry for love. Dia will sit on command but any over head or fast hand movements makes her shrink away in fear. We spend most of the time cuddling her and giving her all the food she desires. Dia is still nervous, especially while going through doorways, and will need some patience while adjusting to post shelter life. She is more than worth the time!
