About Maxwell

Max is 3yrs old, 44lbs, microchipped, beagle/Chihuahua/terrier mix. I have the dog DNA results for his parents so I could share those with you if you're interested in exact percentages. I own both his parents and brother, Max was adopted when he was a puppy and was returned to me this past July when his owner became sick. I had planned on keeping him but unfortunately 2 of my dogs will not accept him and keeping them separated is too hard and unfair to the dogs. He gets along with all the female dogs he's been around and his father, I'm sure he would be fine with any friendly dogs. He is very cuddly and loving, sometimes gives kisses and follows you room to room. He sometimes cries if I don't let him join me in the bathroom etc. He's very sweet and clingy. Loves to play ball, he will fetch until your arm is sore! He loves spending time outside with you and curling up in your lap on the couch. With me he has never been around children so I don't know if he would be okay with them or not, I'd rather be cautious and say no kids under 10 in the home. He can be boisterous and hes heavy and I don't think he realizes he's not a teacup Chihuahua. He does not get along with cats or any other small animals and always chases them in the yard. He's not very well trained, but learns quickly and wants to please. He does know sit and lay down and is kennel trained. He's mostly potty trained but he does still have accidents if he's not let out on time. He will sit silently by the door when he needs to go. I use a martingale collar with him because he will escape any other collar and he does not have any recall whatsoever. I will include the collar with his things, as well as his kennel and favorite toys.
