We adopted Jax from a local rescue into our home in an urban environment. He has been great with the cats and with our kids, but the noise of the streets in our area is not a good fit for him. The rescue organization is ghosting us and we just want to find him a place where he can go outside and is in a quieter, suburban or rural environment and with less stress. He really needs someone who has experience with super smart aussies and similar breeds - and knows how to give him purpose, and direction (and affection). He has been fear reactive in Brooklyn - due to his anxiety around construction noise and the sheer number of people and other animals on the sidwalks. He isn't great on the leash when other dogs walk by, but a yard fenced yard might be just the thing! He was fostered in a house with another, older aussie so he should be ok with a buddy. He has learned to give our cats space and doesn't chase or inquiry after them too much. All in all he is a great little guy - so smart and loves cuddles on the couch, but the city is NOT for him.
