Balmy has that type of good natured warm energy that holds you. It surrounds the people she is with without her doing anything but being herself. Balmy was pretty timid when we first met her and that was after days of her trying to work up courage to come out of her kennel. Her tail was tucked and any sudden sound sent her scurrying. Balmy went from this partly nervous to full loving sunshine quickly once we let her off leash in the play area. Balmy knows some basic commands and preforms them without the lure of treats. She wasn't interested in food, just making us happy. She allows handling all over and snuggles like she's done it before. Balmy's confidence multiplied her first day. By the end of our short time she was climbing on chairs and toy chests to pose for pictures and spy on our neighbors. Balmy is so happy to see people she stands up to show all the visitors of her pavillon her belly. Now that's the type of change we like to see! Come meet Balmy at the CACC shelter in Chicago open adoptions daily from 12p-6p
