Pretzel was a scared little girl when she came into CACC after being found hiding underneath a truck. We don't blame her, that's a scary place and so is this new loud facility she's in, in a portable kennel. At first, Pretzel needed to be coaxed out of her kennel and was afraid of everyone. Now, Pretzel has sat waiting at CACC for 20+ days, but in that time her confidence has grown and she's happy and ready to get outside for a walk. Gone is that grumbly, scared dog and now we have an affectionate, peanut-sized pup. Her kennel presence might not be the best, but outside of it she's a treasure. Her progress has been amazing to watch and now we are hopeful that she can continue that forward momentum in a foster or forever home, outside of the shelter walls. Come meet Pretzel at the CACC shelter in Chicago open adoptions daily from 12p-6p
