Buzzzzzzz. Mosquito was doing a lot of low flying when we first met him. He was so scared, he didn't want to leave his kennel. After a few mintiest of dancing around the leash we got outside. It's so gut wrenching to see a dog walk in an army crawl, flinch over almost any movement, and be too nervous to take treats when they are clearly starving. All that was how we saw Mosquito in the beginning, yet he wanted to be loved. Mosquito let us bribe him with tons of treats and eventually got the courage to stick around for our gentle pets. We spent the entire time feeding skinny Mosquito. He started to stand taller the longer we stayed together, but by no means was he confident by the end of our time. Mosquito grows a little every day. He has a ways to go physically and mentally, but leaving the shelter for a foster is always the quickest route to recovery. Come meet Mosquito at the CACC Shelter in Chicago open adoptions daily 12p-6p
