About Mack

Meet Handsome Mack! Mack is a sweet one-year-old we think is an American English Coonhound. He was found as a stray and picked up from the local Animal Shelter and transferred to our rescue. Mack was nearly starved when found and put on a feeding schedule now he is much healthier and ready for his FOREVER home. He is currently a healthy weight and you would never know he went through what he did. Mack is a total goofy love bug who is playful, active, and a big baby. Surprisingly, this boy is so patient and never aggressive with his food eating around other dogs. He'll even sit for you waiting for his treat. He loves his toys and playing with other puppies or other dogs. He is a favorite among the rescue. He was loved once by someone but never reclaimed when found and later transferred to our rescue. From there he has had several vet visits and his vaccines updated. He is neutered and microchipped and heart-worm negative. He is on monthly preventative too. He is expected to be about 70 pounds when he finishes growing. He loves to snuggle and be by your side. He is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly- the whole package. Recommended to have room for him to run with a secure fence and he'll be in seventh heaven. Mack is such a Doofus and eager to please. We love this boy to pieces and you will too. He is great with kids and loves to give hugs but due to his size only - he is not recommended for smaller children or toddlers. He loves to cuddle and sleep with you. We noticed Mack being great with special needs kids or people. He is a gentle giant. He will not disappoint!
