About Lucia

This pups is Lucia. As you can see she is beautiful! Lucia is about 40 pounds and is approx 8 1/2 -9 month old. Lucia is the sweetest, most lovable pup. She loves her people and will let you know by giving you lots of kisses. She has lots of energy but by the end of the day, she wants to cuddle up besides you on the sofa. Lucia loves being outside! She loves to run around, play fetch and sunbath so a fenced in yard would perfect for her to get her zoomies out. Lucia has been to the beach and she had fun running in the waves. This pup is treat/food motivated so she pick up on skills/tricks very quickly. Lucia already knows the commands sit, stay, down, off, touch, focus, wait, leave it and drop it. She is crate and potty trained and sleeps through the night. This pup LOVES, LOVES, LOVES other dogs and would love a doggie friend. Now she gets to play with dogs at the dog park, at doggie day care and with other dogs she meets. Lucia is altered, up to date on vacinations and is on monthly hw and flea and tick. Lucia was adopt as a puppy. Her mom recently contact us stating that she wants to re-home Lucia. She is very sad, but feels Lucia would be better a different enviroment. Lucia lives in a small apartment with no yard and on a very busy/loud street (lots of trucks, busses and lots of traffic). Lucia loves to be outside but it's not possible for her in her current home. Lucia get very nervous on walks and she is not getting the physical/mental stimulation�'�|�'�|.there is too much noise. Not being able to get her energy out, Lucia gets restless and constantly paces inside and will get in trouble. Her mom has seen her in quieter environments and Lucia is much more relaxed. Her mom thinks Lucia would benefit from being in a home with a fenced in yard so she could run around while she learns that the world isn't that scary. She would also majorly benefit from being in a home with another dog. Lucia is far more confident and follows the lead of other dogs and has no issues even in much busier environments with lots of things going on. Lucia needs someone who can devote more time to helping her get over fears. Her mom has tried to do as much as she can each day with her but she is alone and works. Her mom truly doesn't think she is the right fit for what Lucia needs. She feels Lucia is the sweetest dog who just needs the right person who has the time to help her become less anxious about the world as well as a quieter environment. He mom says when she takes Lucia to her parents home Lucia is so much less anxious and calmer. It is a small, less busy neighborhood and Lucia is able to go to the backyard and play. Lucia needs a home that is in a quiet neighborhood and a special person/family that has the patience to make her feel comfortable teaching her she is safe. Patience, love, slow exposures to new experences and training with positive reinforcement will make Lucia happier pup. Lucia's new furever home should have has a fenced in yard and another dog. We are sure if you adopt Lucia, she will be a devoted, loving companion. Lucia just needs some special person to see her for the true diamond in the ruff she is. Every sad story needs a happy ending.
