[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Dixie is a sweet girl about six years old. Was originally adopted from the Sevier County Humane Society at four months old. She has special needs. Around three years old she began having seizures. Have worked with the vet to try several different combinations of medicines but the medication is not stopping her seizures. She has them every couple of weeks and normally has between two and six seizures within a 24 hour period, then she will be fine for another couple of weeks. She currently takes two seizure medications and medication for her thyroid and an over the counter pill for liver support. We think the best home would be one where someone is home most of the time and without carpet. I would like to see how she would be with another dog in the house to help keep her occupied and not left alone. It would be ideal to have a doggie door that goes out to a fenced yard so she could go out as needed. She has been around older children but not younger children.
