LOCATION: Lost Creek, West Virginia DOB: 9/8/2020 (estimate) Hello, my name is Cleopatra, but my friends call me Cleo. I am 2 years young and full of puppy love. I have so much to tell you! My life has changed so much since being rescued; it's been amazing. So, when my foster mom picked me up, I was in pretty rough shape. My skin was so itchy, and I was a tad bit underweight. With some help from the nice people at the vet's office my skin feels so much better and I'm growing a beautiful coat of velvety gray fur. I've had a lot of things to adjust to in a short amount of time and it hasn't been easy, but my foster mom said I'm doing FANTASTIC! You see I've never stayed inside a home before, so all the different noises scared me. I have learned that all those noises aren't bad and I'm getting used to them. I love snuggles on the couch with my foster family. I've been told I am a Velcro dog, because I have learned that love from humans is the best feeling in the world, so I don't want them to get too far from me. I have 3 foster siblings that I love playing with. It's taken me a while to learn to share my toys, blankets, and affection, but I'm starting to realize that sharing is ok. I seem to be pretty good with cats. I do think they are pretty interesting, but I haven't ever chased them. My previous home had a child under 10, but my foster mom says I try to use my paws like hands and may scratch a smaller child unintentionally. When I get really excited and want to play, I might be a little too rough for a small human. I'm still learning my manners!! I can sit really good for a treat. I love to talk when I have really important things to say! I walk good on a leash, but if something interests me, I will pull. I can be goody and get the zoomies from time to time, but mostly I'm just a big couch potato. I will go in the crate if I have to, but I prefer to sleep with my foster mom in her bed at night. Since I am still a puppy I stay in my crate when my family is away so I don't get into things I shouldn't. Sometimes things startle me, and I bark kinda loud and get scared. We are working on relaxing and knowing that I am safe now. I would love a home to call my own with someone who will be patient, loving, and understanding. I would do good with slow introductions with fur siblings, but I would also be happy to have you all to myself. I promise I will be the most loyal girl and love you with my whole hear.
