About DUKE

Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult

Adorable DUKE, New rescue and post! He is so super cute darling, One year old baby boy was just rescued by LBWF September 15. He was turned into the Downey Shelter With his k9 family due to their mommy being put into a nursing home. When LBWF saw this darling boy with his one eye missing and the other eye sparkly with joy and curiosity, with his adorable little plump body we knew we just had to help him. His coat is gorgeous red and gold with the Most adorable fluffy tail coming over his backside in a circle. He currently is on the full figured fella side and we are working to get his weight down. Most likely he was kept on a poor diet after his mommy was diagnosed. The shelter had him at approximately one year old and we all laughed as they have them as a dachshund. We honestly can't figure out at all all the mixes from his parents and grandparents. He will make you smile. He obviously loves treats and will follow you anywhere. When we brought him here he came in with the new dogs Nick and a few others. We put him into playgroup right away with these nice companion dogs and he just acts like he's one of the pack. Super easy-going. Loves to walk around, sniff and go on adventures. he could care less what the dogs are doing around him. he started to interact a little bit with the other dogs is they were playing but we were just trying to get his picture. We look forward to getting to know the little guy and thought we would go ahead and post him if somebody out there is looking for the most magical sweetheart with his one eye. He does currently need to lose a some weight! He started our healthy life feeding program that is designed by Linda Blair at the foundation. Clean food and vegetables, pumpkin, digestive enzymes and all the goodies. He absolutely will love going for many walks, joining your family, a yard, dog friends, cruising around the beach, safe dog parks, nature, going for rides in the car and living life to the fullest! He will grow to love you and say thank you and you will have your forever best friend.
