About Abigail

Abigail is just turning 2 years old. She is female 44 lb red and white shorty American Staffordshire that was confiscated from an animal cruelty case in SC where several young females where being bred repeatedly to use puppies. Abigail had a litter of 8 puppies that were outside in the heat and dirt in a chain link kennel with Abigail on a huge chain inside the kennel. She had given birth to two litters already by a year and a half of age. She herself is was still considered a puppy then. Luckily she tested heartworm negative. She will be spayed May 10th. She has been in foster home for the last 5 months. She was reactive to other dogs at the rescue kennels. Likely due to stress here and being bred forcefully. We hope to get her a loving home where she can have a really good life. She is very sweet w people. She is also microchipped. We will retest her with dogs again after her spay, but for now would recommend as an only pet. She is a big couch cuddle bug and gives lovin to her humans all the time. She rides well in car and has had a volunteer work with her on obedience training. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans at no charge in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs. Our website is rescuepetsservingvets.org.
