About ALLIE

***NEED FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise ALLIE is a young (1 to 2 years old), 50-pound sweet girl who is gentle and curious with a mellow disposition. ALLIE does well with kids. The foster family includes a 6-year-old who likes to love on her and a 13-month-old who ALLIE likes to give kisses to. ALLIE does well with the resident big dog in the house too. ALLIE knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, lay down, and shake. Sometimes she has selective hearing, so she will do best in a household that will continue to work with her on her listening skills through consistent, positive reinforcement. She is treat-motivated to learn more and takes treats gently from the hand. ALLIE rides well in a vehicle. She is crate-trained and house-trained and sleeps through the night. ALLIE is a quiet, calm dog that only barks maybe out of curiosity towards something or wanting to go outside for a walk. She walks well on a leash and does not seem bothered by other dogs or humans along the way. Foster family will explore her interest in birds/ducks and water soon. ALLIE will instigate play when she is feeling energetic and, other times, she seems happy to do her own thing by herself. Because of her interest in exploring, ALLIE will need a fully secure fenced yard to play in. If there is any way for her to escape and adventure into the neighborhood (i.e., a hole in the fence or an open gate/door), then she will find it. She has not yet jumped any fences though. In summary, ALLIE is smart, and, at times, energetic, and will do well with a family that can get her out for walks, allow her time to play in the yard, and just be around her to give her love. She is a sweetie who loves to be social with the family and will make a great addition to a loving home.
