About Emmie

Emmie is a super sweet, serene and friendly 35-lb female spayed tan and white lab/terrier mix, who just wants to give love and receive love. Approximately 2 years old, Emmie is eager to show what an amazing companion she can be for that just right person or family. She loves being around people and is quick to make friends, seeking approval and attention in her tender, soft way. If Emmie can be near you, all the better-she likes to be close, content to stretch out on the floor by your feet or cuddle up on a dog bed with a bone or a buddy. Docile and submissive with her other foster doggy siblings, she likes the company of other dogs; however, due to a previous injury in one of her hind legs before she was rescued, her activity should be monitored around other dogs and would be best suited in a home with older, calmer fur pals around her same size, or as an only dog. She also enjoys being outside, happy to sun herself or chew on a bone, or simply watch the clouds float by. During her time with her foster family, she's learned to use a doggy door, is crate trained, and is housebroken. Gentle with soulful eyes and easygoing disposition, Emmie is ready to work her way into your heart and stay there, forever. Will you let her become a part of your home, family, and heart? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
