About Hans

Hans came to us as a stray. He is a very energetic 3-4-year-old boy. Hans is doing great on leash walking. One of our volunteers walks him 2 miles a day, 3-4 times per week. He loves his walks and would gladly chase any wildlife he sees but is very responsive to the leash. He knows the sit command, waits patiently to get treats, and is working on shaking paws. You can see his high intelligence as you look into his eyes. Above all Hans has shown to be very loyal. He is one that would bond nicely into a family. He does need someone who can be Alpha to him. He respects our volunteer, and our volunteer can't get over the dog's great attitude and ability to learn. He is a dog in progress and has come a long way. Hans favorite thing to do is play in water, puddle and even his water dish. He loves to play fetch and chase after the ball. He knows a few commands, but is smart and very trainable so it would not be hard to teach him more commands.
