About Chief

Adoption Fee: $75
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

It is with a heavy heart I am having to post this for a friend. Chief is very loving, loyal and wanted to be pet. He also didn't like anyone messing with his owners. He wasn't mean, just loyal. He was in a home with very young kids and did great with them. He likes to jump and nip (it's what he's bred to do) but not aggressive in nature. The family is absolutely heartbroken to have to rehome him but last week a neighbors child claimed he bit him. The owners think it was likely more of a nip than a bite and that he was startled when the neighbor jumped onto their porch with the neighbors dog. He was used as a baying dog for coons and hogs. Would easily be trained for cattle or whatnot. He is intrigued by chickens, ducks, etc but he hasn't acted on that. He is good with female dogs and male dogs that have been neutered. Both parents are registered but they were registered with different organizations so Chief wasn't able to be registered due to that. He was born October/November 2020. I'm not sure if he has been around cats. If you have any questions at all please text me at 337-375-1656. We are located in Central Louisiana. We need to rehome him immediately as we already have too many dogs and can't keep him. Rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a great forever home. Can possibly be negotiable for the right family.
