Belle is a 2 1/2 year old Belgian Malinois mix. She is a sweet dog who loves her human companions and a 90+ pound labrador retriever who also lives in the home. She behaves well at the vet, groomer, and when she goes to the pet sitter. However, she cannot be left out unattended as she is able to jump fences and roam which leads to why she needs to be rehomed. She is not a fan of small dogs and will not back down if challenged by a smaller dog. We live in the suburbs and Belle recently got out and got into a tussle with a neighbors 12-15 lb dog. We have determined it would be best for all if Belle were to be rehomed. We feel Belle would do best outside of a suburban environment. She would do well with an experienced dog owner. Belle came to us at the age of 8 months. She quickly adapted to family life and joined 3 chocolate labrador retrievers in our home in addition to my husband, our 2 college aged children, and myself. Belle is used to being around people and would do better if she were not left alone for long periods of time on a regular basis. We think a more rural setting would be best for Belle. Please reach out if you have questions. This is difficult for us, but we think Belle would be a great companion in the right setting.
