Meet precious ELLA! 10 year old female Chihuahua mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A loving and calm home. HIGHLIGHTS: Sweet senior seeking soulmate �%9D%A4��%8F Ella is a 10 year old, 12.4 pound Chihuahua who was surrendered to us after her owner was unable to care for her. Ella is a good dog who absolutely loves her foster dad and loved her dad in her prior home. She likes women too, but she has a thing for the men! Ella is pretty much a typical senior lady Chihuahua. She loves to be near you and stays pretty close. She can be a little cranky at times, but is all bark and no bite! She is a sweet dog who has been through some change that she's a little confused about still, and that's the bottom line. Ella just needs a loving home where she can lay her head near you. She loves to go for rides in the car, and snuggle in the recliner. At night she sleeps in the big bed snuggled under the covers. She cannot jump up on the bed or other furniture, and is hesitant to try doggy stairs...so she needs to be lifted up and down. Ella is fine with other dogs but would not be a good fit for younger or bigger bouncy dogs. She does not display any aggression towards other dogs but she's not a pushover either. A home with kids is probably not a good fit, although teens who are familiar with small dogs might be fine. She lived with cats in her prior home. Ella has been pee pad trained, but also likes to go outside to potty. A small yard will be enough for her, because she plans to stay inside with you 98% of the time. The 2% that she does go out will be when you take her with you. Ella is going to have one of her eyes looked at by a vet to see if removal is recommended. She will also be scheduled for a dental at one of our vets. Ella has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
