FINLEY NEEDS REHOMING Currently in Pocatello, but transport is available for the right family This pup was saved from bad circumstances by a family when he was 8 weeks old. He has lived with a young couple, 4 year old daughter, large dog, small senior dog, and cat. He recently developed serious food resource guarding issues that are not manageable to keep everyone safe, so the family needs to rehome him. A home without small children or small pets is best. Homes with large dogs will be considered. FINLEY is a 10-month-old, 50-pound energetic, intelligent border collie/beauceron mix (DOB: November 2021). He is house-trained, crate-trained (when left alone and overnight), walks well on leash, and rides well in a vehicle. FINLEY knows several obedience commands like sit, stay, down, come, and give paw. He will make a good guard dog as he barks when people approach the yard or home. FINLEY likes playing fetch, frisbee, squeaky and plush toys. He loves playing with his people. He will need a family that understands his triggers for possible reactivity (food and being disturbed when sleeping) and someone who can fill his life with mental stimulation so that he doesn't become destructive when bored. FINLEY is fully-vaccinated and microchipped. He will be neutered soon. Vet records are available.
