We got Moe off the e-list from the Phoenix county shelter in 2021. He was adopted and has done well in his new home, but his adopters now have a baby on the way. Moe cannot be in a home with very young children - he has shown some guarding tendencies with food bowls and high value items. Moe is such a friendly, happy boy - he just so desperately needs to find his own permanent forever home and not be bounced around anymore. He is doing so remarkably well, all things considered! He loves his humans, whoever is with him at the moment, very much. He has done well with other huskies in his foster home to date, too. Moe would prefer dogs of similar age and activity level to himself. We will require a meet-and-greet with any other dogs, as he is a typical husky and can be overbearing and energetic! He is at an age where he really is a great mix of happy-go-lucky energetic and cool as a cucumber chill. Moe is very food motivated, which has been very helpful for training. He does, however, show some resource-guarding tendencies, of food more than anything. Because of this, it will be best to feed him separately. Moe can also have some separation anxiety because he doesn't like to be alone. He is crate trained and feels safe there. He does have a prey drive (so no cats in the home!), and has a tendency to pull on a leash, though again this is typical of the breed! Moe LOVES water and loves to play at the splash pad when he is in boarding, and most recently on the larger top step of his foster's pool! More needs a breed-experienced adopter who is looking for a happy-go-lucky ball of fluff and love who isn't 100% perfect, but has an amazingly affectionate personality and so much love to give. We know with the right family he will flourish! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/
