This is Clyde. I've had Clyde since December 2020. Clyde is a smart, loving dog who deserves someone who is equipped, eager, and has the capacity and knowledge to be his owner. Clyde has had two trainers work with us, so you have the benefit of him having his basic training down, and more progress than when I first got him. My second trainer, Alana, is offering a free in person session with whoever his new owner is �٪� she's an awesome human and she adores Clyde. I do believe Clyde has some ridgeback in him as well, and would potentially make a good hunting dog with enough training! I'd love to see him thrive in his natural strengths. Clyde definitely needs secure land to thrive. Clyde is eager to learn and please his people. He has a pretty good recall, if no triggers are present. He knows 'place,' 'go to your bed,' sit/down, 'up/off,' spin, bow (my favorite), middle, 'right here,' 'leave it,' and can and wants to learn so much more. Clyde has somewhat unpredictable aggression, but has never snapped at/turned on people who are already in his circle, which includes new people as long as introduced properly and at his pace. He does well with dogs with slow introductions, preferably long walks until he is showing no tension in his interactions with the dog. I love this dog, I have simply reached my limit and I've gotten to a point where my anxiety only worsens his behaviors, and it's left my mental health in shambles. I am located in Idaho Springs, and require at least 3 visits with whoever is interested in taking him in. I have put so much love, and training, into this dog and his quality of life is the most important thing to me.
