About Poppy

This is Poppy, she is a 1-2 years old Labrador retriever mix. We have had her for almost a year and she is very loved. But she has some behavioral issues that just aren't getting better even with training. However we are in no rush and she will only go to someone I know will love her and give her what she needs. She is reactive on leash to dogs. Does not seem to like other female dogs. Chases cats but is friendly with them. Has issues with resource guarding (is now trying to attack our other dogs over food bowels and even water). She barks at everything. Has separation anxiety but is crate trained. We believe she was abused because she is very jumpy, scared of strangers, and takes a very long time to get use to people. She is still occasionally jumpy with me and it's been almost a year. Terrified of the vet. Can't get enough food and would definitely eat her way into an ER. She knows sit, stay, come, place, and heal (getting her to listen is a whole other thing). She is also trained with an e-collar and can be off leash in a safe controlled area. She has seasonal allergies and possibly food allergies as well. She was on apoquel but it made her pee in the house. Because of allergies she has ear problems constantly. She is 45 pounds. Spayed Up to date on vaccines and flea meds (frontline). She will come with her crate, ear cleaner, and some food. I request her microchip stays in my name and that if you can't handle her she is immediately given back to me. I will be making whoever takes her sign paperwork that they agree to this. Must be willing to come meet her. I will not let her go to someone unless she is 100% comfortable. She should be the only pet in a home and preferably go to a female (she's extra scared of men).
